The sit-in by the Mansoura-España Garments Company workers enters its 46th day.
The United Bank, which owns the biggest percentage of shares in the company, has insisted on its position, to disregard the agreement reached between the parliamentarians and the Labor Ministry.
The bank has decided to liquidate the firm, without the proper compensation the workers are demanding. The bank officials refused to show up for the meeting held yesterday, between Labor Ministry officials, the General Federation of Trade unions and the Factory Union Committee.
