Moreover, organizers say no taxes will be collected until 1 December, the date which the govt promised it would respond to the strikers’ demands. If nothing delivered, the protests will be resumed on 3 December.

Ghazl el-Mahalla workers demonstrate against management
Demonstrations broke out today inside the Ghazl el-Mahalla Company, as workers protested today against the chairman of the state-owned company Mahmoud el-Gebally, amid a propaganda campaign by the managers of the company sectors to try to persuade the workers not to pursue his overthrow at the coming General Assembly, according to an activist source.
Workers from the 1st and the 2nd shift took part in the protest which started around 3:30pm and lasted for half an hour. The number of participants varied in reports from 1500 to 3000.
