Kefaya activist humiliates General Ezaby in public
For those of you who do not know General Nabil el-Ezaby, he was the butcher of Kefaya in 2005. He was Cairo’s Security Director over the past couple of years which witnessed Kefaya’s rise and street demos. General Ezaby orchestrated the detentions, crackdowns, thugs attacks against the movement, and more notoriously he was behind the Black Wednesday sexual assaults on women activists and reporters. For his loyal service to Mubarak, General Ezaby was awarded the Governorship of Assiut in January 2006.
But it seems those naughty Kefaya activists do not wanna leave him alone. Yesterday, Ezaby was embarrassed and humiliated in public by a Kefaya activist while inaugurating a cultural book fair in Assiut. Activist El-Husseini Muhammad Abu Deif, who was part of the audience, stood up and told Ezzaby in public: “You are the shame walking on two legs. I do not know how they brought you to become our governor. You, who sexually abused women journalists in front of the Press Syndicate in broad day light!”
The general was shocked, and so was the audience who were composed of security and NDP officials mainly. The general claimed he had nothing to do with the sexual assaults, and said he was ready to stand in court to face such accusations.
