Security ban garbage protest
Loads of Central Security Forces descended on Matareya Sq., in anticipation of the garbage protest. Organizers decided to cancel the demo for fear of arrests, as handful of individuals only showed up.

Egyptian police cadets in training?
A new Egyptian police brutality video is available on You Tube now. Blogger Ahmad Hassan Salah, who uploaded it, says it is of Egyptian police cadets in training.
The blogger uploaded another two videos of what he said were:
1- Police cadets setting a colleague’s ass on fire

UPDATE: It’s interesting (and of course troubling) to see how society has also come to perceive the Egyptian police and the concept of “law enforcement.” Here’s a video on YouTube of Egyptian kids playing Mabaheth (Cops) in their school classroom.
