An army major firing in the air, celebrating Mubarak’s stepping down. Those young officers and soldiers are the allies of the revolution, but I do not trust for one second the generals at the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.

The head of of the news department at the State TV, who has been orchestrating a misinformation war against the revolution, was assaulted by the State TV workers, and had to run for his life in the protection of the army. This is part of a revolt across all state run media institutions by the journalists and workers against their pro-regime editors.
#Jan25 Oil and gas workers on strike
Blogger and Petrotrade worker Kareem Reda stating some of the strikers’ demands:
Thousands of workers from several oil and gas companies are on strike, protesting in front of the Ministry of Petroleum, in Nasr City. The workers had several economic and political demands that include a halt to abusive management practices in terms of sackings, the reinstatement of the sacked workers, raising salaries that roughly average on LE400, establishing an independent union, impeaching the corrupt minister Sameh Fahmy, and stopping gas exports to Israel.
