The Giza Governorate, known for its notorious corruption and refusal to invest in sanitation and infra structure citing “lack of funds,” has an “open budget” however to prepare for Obama’s visit. In other words they have a green light to spend whatever necessary to beautify the places Obama’s parade will pass through. Already Mr. Ahmad Nassar, the head of Cleaning and Beautification Agency (yeah, that’s its name!), stated to Al-Masry Al-Youm “expensive flowers” will be planted around the Nahdet Masr statue, and moreover, “LE50,000 are allocated to polishing the Cairo University dome.”

So, no money to subsidize the students’ books, but they have LE50,000 to polish up the dome?!! No money to lift up the garbage from the Giza slums, but an “open budget” to plant expensive shit to receive Obama!??! What can I say except: A7A!
