Muhammad Maree, Mossa’ad Abu Fagr and 17 from the Mahalla detainees are starting a hunger-strike tomorrow in Bourg el-Arab Prison, demanding their release or to be given a justification by the govt why they are still kept in custody.
They are also demanding that State Security officials would NOT be present during the prison visits by lawyers and families as the officers tend to abusive with them.
Alsharq Alawsat Land Reclamation employees are protesting now in downtown Cairo, Abdel Khaleq Tharwat Street’s intersection with Champollion, in front of the Arab Investment Bank, which owns the company. The workers haven’t gotten paid their salaries for three months, and the bank has been stalling their bonuses and grants since 2004.
