I received this message from a Burmese journalist in the US:

Dear Colleagues,
Another sad episode of Burma is happening starting from last night (Wednesday daytime in Burma)
Ruling junta use arm soldiers and polices to disperse the protesting crowd and mass arrest is going on.
Many of my friends can’t manage to come back home from protest although curfew time started and streets are deserted. Before the shooting started in downtown, one of my friend send message from nearby Internet café and said ‘we are a living dead under this dictatorial regime and death itself is not a matter.’
I am praying for safety of people in Burma. That all I can do right now.
