A new video of police agent abusing a citizen is circulating the Egyptian cyberspace.
“Torture In Egypt”, an excellent website run by a group of dedicated anti-torture activists, has posted a short video, taken by a cellular digital camera, of what they said was an Egyptian youth being slapped on the neck by a police agent in Al-Montaza police station, Alexandria.
I guess this video is one we will add to the growing collection…
Lawyer Mansour Ahmad Mansour has been finally released from prison after he spent 14 years in detention, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported today.
The lawyer was initially detained by State Security police on suspicion of involvement in the assassination of secular intellectual Farag Fouda.
A court had cleared Mansour of the charges but, as with the case of thousands of other detainees, the interior ministry kept him in custody for 14 years using the powers decreed by Egypt’s notorious emergency law.
The recent anti-Prophet cartoons by the Danish far-right assh*les is reviving the Danish products’ boycotting campaign in Egypt.
The Muslim Brotherhood vehemently denounced the “insults against the Prophet,” and called for an economic boycott campaign against the products of the countries that “allow such insults.”
