The military rules

Posted on 30/07/201013/02/2021 By 3arabawy

Every single boat heading out for a dive, every single diver going into the sea in Marsa Alam, must issue a permission from the Border Guards Intelligence Services, مخابرات حرس الحدود. It doesn’t cost much, less than LE10. However, with the number of boats and divers across Marsa Alam and around it, they must be making hundreds of thousands a year, if not millions if it was a good season.

But WHY? Why would the military take this money? This is an extra source of income that’s all. PERIOD.

Garbage containers حاويات قمامة

HEPCA has been building eco-friendly garbage containers, made from stones, on the beaches and bays around Marsa Alam. They were built on HEPCA’s expense, though it’s the government duty after all to perform those public services.

The above one was in Marsa Samaday. They containers, however, were destroyed immediately and razed to the ground upon the orders of a Border Guards Intelligence Services captain, claiming HEPCA had no permission to build those.

The town of Marsa Alam, to cut a long story short, is being run by junior captains from the so called Border Guards Intelligence Services, مخابرات حرس الحدود … They control every thing.
