In Solidarity with the Egyptian Free Union Activists
I received the following message of solidarity with the Egyptian Real Estate Tax Collectors:
Hossam,
Thank you for meeting with myself and Jim Quinn (Regional Secretary, FBU, Northern Ireland ).
We found our discussions to be informative and indeed, in many ways to be inspirational.
We were proud to learn of the courageous struggle of so many workers in Egypt, but especially those involved with RETA (Real Estates Taxes Authority) and in the textile industry.
We totally support the efforts of the Higher Committee for Strike ( RETA) in trying to establish a free, independent and democratic trade union structure, to properly represent the rights and interests of ordinary workers and will do all we can to help make your voice heard.
Yours in Unity.
