However, the people resisted, beating the police officers, their corporals, and plainclothes informers, liberating the detainee. The officer leading the raid, Muhammad el-Qadi, fled the scene with his car, leaving his corporals and soldiers behind, to get their sorry butts smacked by the people of Kafr el-Sheikh.

In the Friday prayers following the uprising, the salafis came out strongly against the intifada. The preachers in their mosques, and we have many, said strikes and demonstrations against the ruler were haram. The people (worshipers) did not stay silent. They yelled back at the preachers, and at least in one occasion they assaulted a sheikh in a mosque.

In other news related El-Burullus, the last four detainees from the town in the pigs’ custody have been finally released. Mabrouk. Let’s not forget our brothers in Mahalla however.

This uprising happens after two months exactly from Al Mahalla uprising in April. This scares the regime that the other Governates and cities began to imitate what happened in Al Mahalla and Al Burullus then it will be a very big problem threatening the existence of the regime and its security.

This is exactly the caliber of people the criminals at the White House love to deal with.

UPDATE: The clashes broke out after a protest by 8,000 of the Burullus residents denouncing the shortages in flour and bread in the town. Mubarak’s pigs (the second largest recipients of US foreign aid after Israel) fired tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition on the demonstrators resulting in critical injuries, but no deaths contrary to the initial reports.

Scores were arrested, including a pregnant woman, by State Security and the ordinary police, of which 87 are underwent interrogation by the Prosecutor in Kafr el-Sheikh.

It’s worth mentioning that Burullus, a fishermen‘s community, has been a hot spot for more than a year now, with riots and protests against the lack of drinking water and against police brutality.
