Cairo police kill man for refusing to snitch
An officer in Dar al-Salam Police Station, south of Cairo, has tortured to death a citizen when the latter refused to work as an informer, the victim’s brother charged on Facebook.
Muhammed Hussein posted yesterday on his account a video and pictures of his brother Rami’s body, accusing a police detective, Major Abdel Rahman Ragaei, of the killing.
UPDATE: Police have arrested Muhammad. The photos and video of his killed brother have been deleted from his FB account. The Interior Ministry has also denied any wrongdoing, saying the torture allegations are “rumors, lies and fabrications … spread by the Muslim Brotherhood.”
