Secret MB military trial resumes

The Egyptian authorities have barred human rights groups from attending the secret military trial of 40 members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the country’s most powerful opposition group.
A Brotherhood source said observers from Amnesty International and the Arab Commission for Human Rights, based in France, were stopped from attending the trial.
The media and 60 defence lawyers were also prevented from attending the proceedings on Sunday.

MB military trial adjourned to 5 August

The Military trial against 39 Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leaders was adjourned to next August, 5th, after Sunday’s session witnessed several violations, the most prominent of which was preventing ex-US Attorney General Ramsey Clark and a number of lawyers and human rights activists from entering the court.

Judge Murad’s request to block websites rejected

The bloggers and rights activists scored a new victory. Judge Murad’s case to block 51 blogs and website, including mine, has has been thrown away. The Prosecutor’s interrogation of Blogger Amr Gharbeia has also been suspended.
