Ain Shams University students are holding a conference on campus, this Sunday 1pm, in solidarity with their colleague Amr Eissa, who’s been detained by the army at Tahrir Square on 9 March, tortured at the Egyptian Museum, before a trial in front of a military tribunal which sentenced him to three years in prison.

Army attacks Cairo U students
The military police yesterday stormed Cairo University campus, suspending by force the ongoing sit in by the Mass Com students calling for impeaching the university president, faculty dean and other figures affiliated with the Mubarak’s regime. The soldiers used sticks and tasers, temporarily detaining a number of students and professors.
A protest is scheduled today at 12 noon in solidarity with the students in front of the Cairo University gate.
