Solidarity with Dekernes peasants

Posted on 04/03/200702/01/2021 By 3arabawy

A court ruling is to be enforced tomorrow Monday, 5 March, that will evict peasant families out of an area of roughly 10 Feddans, in Dekernes village in the Nile Delta province of Daqahliya. Last summer, the police detained and tortured peasants and activists in a state-sponsored terror campaign. Clashes may well happen again, as the security forces move to evict the peasants tomorrow.

Activists and reporters will assemble 8am, in front of the Lawyers’ Syndicate (located in Ramses Street, Isa’af area), on Tuesday, 5 March, to travel to Dekernes to witness/report on the situation.
