Free Khaled Hamza

Posted on 10/03/200831/12/2020 By 3arabawy

From IkhwanWeb:

Ikhwanweb editor, Khaled Hamza, was sent to Al Kasr Al Eni Hospital on Sunday for medical evaluation after suffering of extricating low back pain and shortness of breath in prison cell where he is detained.
Khaled’s health deteriorated due to unsanitary conditions inside prison cells which are overcrowded and poorly ventilated (more than 50 prisoners are piled up in 65×15 feet cell). Khaled suffers of cardiomegally (enlargement of heart Muscle) which led to mild degree of heart failure (weakness of heart), irregular heart beat and trouble breathing. In addition, Khaled also suffers of elevated triglycerides and cholesterol levels and high blood pressure, which further complicate his heart condition.

FREE KHALED HAMZA

Elijah blogs about Khaled, and so does Issandr.. I also received news from Moneim that Khaled is locked up together with 50 more detainees in a tight cell in Tora. I should receive more details soon.

Khaled and all detained his Brothers have my unconditional solidarity.

UPDATE: Moneim has more details about the dismal conditions of Khaled’s imprisonment.
Khalled is kept in a prison cell 20m x 4m.. bad ventilation, hardly any sunlight. He’s locked up with “criminals,” not political detainees, who openly abuse drugs. State Security refused his repeated requests to be moved to another cell that has political detainees. Fights break out in the cell all the time.
Khaled is suffering from heart and blood pressure problems, and his health is deteriorating. We hold Mubarak’s State Security Police responsible for Khaled’s safety inside.
