Posted on 28/12/200921/03/2015 By 3arabawy

Police has arrested three journalists working for Al-Masry Al-Youm: Jano Charbel, Ahmad Ragab and Mostafa Bahgat while covering a protest by pro-Palestine activists by the French Embassy in Giza.

I spoke with Jano around 10 mins ago. He said they were kept in a van near the Four Seasons Hotel in Giza.

Please follow my Twitter account for updates.

UPDATE: They have just been released, after spending close to three hours in police custody.

A State Security officer, in his 20s, at the Taba police checkpoint, as he rudely searches my car: What do you do?

SS: Gareeda mo3arda malhash ay lazmah (A useless opposition newspaper).
