There are reports of a number of arrests. Protesters are being kettled and assaulted now in Abdel Khaleq Tharwat St.

There was a strong protest yesterday following the Friday prayers at el-Qaed Ibrahim Mosque in Alexandria, against the murder of Khaled Said on the hands of the police.

Among the slogans the protesters chanted was this one, which rhymes in Arabic, and here’s a rough English translation of it: “There will be a civil war between the people and the interior ministry, if Khaled Said’s murderers are not tried.”
