Egyptian constitution ‘worst in the world’
Egypt’s constitution is probably the “worst in the world and cannot be amended, but should be scrapped and re-written,” a group of distinguished legal experts told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
Protest against price increases
Kefaya has called for a demonstration on 18 January, marking the 30th anniversary of the 1977 Bread Intifada, to protest the exponential increase in prices of basic commodities, and to express solidarity with the labor struggles in Helwan and Mahalla during Egypt’s December of Discontent in the Nile Delta industrial towns.
Activists will assemble in front of El-Sayyeda Zeinab Mosque, 3pm.
