Protest against price increases
Kefaya has called for a demonstration on 18 January, marking the 30th anniversary of the 1977 Bread Intifada, to protest the exponential increase in prices of basic commodities, and to express solidarity with the labor struggles in Helwan and Mahalla during Egypt’s December of Discontent in the Nile Delta industrial towns.
Activists will assemble in front of El-Sayyeda Zeinab Mosque, 3pm.

The Daily Star Egypt censors anti-Mubarak frontpage photo
The Egyptian edition of the Daily Star has edited a picture of a Kefaya demonstrator in its 19 December print issue, that showed on the frontpage.
The newspaper, it seems, carefully blurred the anti-Mubarak writings on the Kefaya demonstrator’s poster.
The Daily Star Egypt has to present an explanation for this, or just merge their company with Rosa el-Youssef seeing their level of professionalism is increasingly becoming the same.
