This is really wow. The worshipers yesterday shouted and interrupted the Sidi Gaber Mosque Imam’s Friday sermon, after they felt he was stalling the scheduled protest by giving a long sermon.

Protesters are now chanting in Alexandria, denouncing Khaled Said’s murder on the hand of the police. Mubarak and Habib el-Adly are receiving the lion’s share of the demonstrators’ wrath.

There was a strong protest yesterday following the Friday prayers at el-Qaed Ibrahim Mosque in Alexandria, against the murder of Khaled Said on the hands of the police.

Among the slogans the protesters chanted was this one, which rhymes in Arabic, and here’s a rough English translation of it: “There will be a civil war between the people and the interior ministry, if Khaled Said’s murderers are not tried.”
