I’ve spoken with a Socialist activist inside the factory. There’s a delegation of NDP MPs already in the factory now to make some offer.
No more details yet, but I can hear strong chants in the background from the workers, songs, drum beats.

Egyptians Against Torture Bloggers Nora Younis, Abdel Moneim Mahmoud, and Ahmad Abdel Qawi travelled to the Fayoum Oasis to interview the family of a man killed under torture by Mubarak’s police.
Journalist friends called up Labor Minister Aisha Abdel Hadi’s office and the General Federation for Textile Workers.. and they were told by both govt entities (yes including the union which is run by Mubarak’s NDP) that the strike is “illegal.”
This is a green light for the police to move against the strikers.
