Protesters put up a banner in Tahrir, thanking the “Heroes of Muhammad Mahmoud Street” who are battling the police to defend the square. An effigy of Field Marshal Tantawi is hung beside the banner, expressing the general sentiment in the square demanding the execution of the military dictator.
