Around 300 Postal workers from at least eight provinces gathered yesterday in front of the Egyptian Postal Agency HQ in Ataba, to demonstrate demanding salary increases, job security, and a free union.

State moves against postal strike leaders
Ahmad Farrag, a postal worker from the Helwan Office, was transferred today to the Qattamiya Office, following his interrogation over charges of “participating in public conferences that attack the policies of the head of the postal agency.”
The transfer decree comes amid an administrative crackdown on the postal strike leaders and organizers.
