Postal strike leaders’ press conference
The Cairo Press Syndicate’s Liberties Committee is holding a press conference today, Saturday, 6pm, featuring the postal strike leaders who will update the public on the latest with their industrial action and police crackdowns.
Keep an eye on that sector. If 2008 was the “Year of the Tax Collectors”… 2009, increasingly looks like it, will be the “Year of the Postal Workers”.
Ismailia postal strike leader released
Good news. Prosecutor has ordered the release of Mamdouh Fazaa’, the Ismailia postal strike leader. His release was among the demands raised by the recently-suspended strike by Kafr el-Sheikh postal workers.
