Alexandria protesters denounce the army

Military armored vehicles showed up on Monday night for the first time near Saad Zaghloul Square in Alexandria, where a sit in is ongoing since 8 July. Protesters started heckling the troops, chanting: “The people want the downfall of the Field Marshal (Tantawi)”, “Out! Out!” and “We are not cowards. We will die in the square!”

The troops withdrew.

Protesters return to the streets of Tunisia

And of course the Tunisian government is behaving exactly like our SCAF and Essam Sharaf.

Tunisia’s prime minister on Monday accused protesters who held a wave of demonstrations over the weekend of plotting to destabilize the country, six months after the revolution that inspired the Arab Spring.

I wish the Tunisians all the luck in continuing their revolution. Both in Tunisia and Egypt, the old regimes are alive and well. Our mission is not yet accomplished.
