The protests in front of the Israeli embassy in Giza continue as of time of writing, with thousands calling for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and severing all ties with the Zionist apartheid regime. Protesters are also waving Palestinian flags, calling for war on Israel.

A video that was shot in June by one of the striking Petrojet workers, where Brigadier General Mamdouh Abbas of the military police is threatening the protesters with seven years in prison. Five workers were detained that day and taken to prison, before a military tribunal handed down a suspended one-year prison sentence.

Demonstrators in northern California’s Bay Area had planned a protest to condemn the shooting death of Charles Hill, who was killed on July 3 after Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) police officers responded to complaints about a drunk man at a station in the city of San Francisco.
