Hundreds of Islamist students demonstrated Thursday afternoon at Cairo University against the Israeli massacre in Beit Hanoun.
The students took to the streets with banners denouncing the atrocity, and distributed leaflets shortly after 3pm. Central Security Forces troops and State Security officers rushed to encircle the students in the square in front of the university gates. More troops were brought in to protect the nearby Israeli embassy. The demonstration lasted for nearly an hour. No arrests were reported.
