In the video you can see and hear cheers from the revolutionaries with great enthusiasm. This didn’t last long. They discovered the army was not coming in to support them, but to support the police. Hence, you can hear the youth shouting: الجيش معاهم! الجيش معاهم! (The army is on their side! The army is on their side!)

Later in the evening, a military jeep was stopped by the revolutionaries and set on fire after the army tried to move into Tahrir, from the opposite side (via Abdel Moneim Riyadh Square) to supply the police with ammo.
