Egyptian police cadets in training?

Posted on 03/12/200602/02/2021 By 3arabawy

A new Egyptian police brutality video is available on You Tube now. Blogger Ahmad Hassan Salah, who uploaded it, says it is of Egyptian police cadets in training.

The blogger uploaded another two videos of what he said were:
1- Police cadets setting a colleague’s ass on fire

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODPejdPCzf8

2- Police cadets sabotaging the car of one of their officers

UPDATE: It’s interesting (and of course troubling) to see how society has also come to perceive the Egyptian police and the concept of “law enforcement.” Here’s a video on YouTube of Egyptian kids playing Mabaheth (Cops) in their school classroom.

Misr el-Horra blog managed to get exclusive pictures of the abuse against inmates at the Port Said General Prison. The correction officers assaulted prisoners with wooden sticks, iron bars and pepper-sprayed their faces because they “refused to obey an officer’s order.”

The following pix are of inmate El-Tabei’ Ibrahim Muhammad. The blogger managed to bribe their way into the Prosecution building office at Port Said, and photographed the prisoner inside the bathroom.

The latest scandal comes shortly after the prosecutor’s office started an investigation into videos of police brutality leaked and circulated by the bloggers.

Banna to MPs: Investigating police torture is more important than the veil

Liberal writer Gamal el-Banna, brother of the Muslim Brotherhood’s founder Hassan el-Banna, had a good op-ed in today’s Al-Masry Al-Youm, where he slammed members of parliament for devoting their energies to discuss Farouk Hosni’s remarks about the veil. Instead, they should focus on torture inside police stations, he insisted, referring to leaked police brutality videos he watched on a CD.
