The interrogation of Kamal el-Fayoumi and Kareem el-Beheiri by Mahalla’s 2nd District Prosecutor, on charges of inciting workers to strike and calling for the overthrow of the government, has been postponed after the prosecutor failed to show up today!

The two Ghazl el-Mahalla labor activists will be notified with a new date for the interrogation soon.

Mansoura-España update

Mansoura-España workers have started a sit-in at their factory, demanding the sacking order against trade unionist Mohsen el-Sha’er to be revoked. A delegation of workers are on their way now to Cairo to meet up with the Labor Ministry officials.

250 workers at Mansoura-España Garments Company, in Talkha, staged a sit-in yesterday at the gate of their factory, following the sacking of trade unionist Mohssen el-Shae’r. The workers will resume their protest today 8am.
