Around 300 workers at Amanco, in the 6th of October City, have been staging a sit-in sine Sunday, demanding the 30% raise decreed by Mubarak in May.
The workers are also demanding they receive compensations for the overtime work they do. “The working day should be eight hours,” said one worker. “They (management) make us work from 7am to 10pm without any extra money.”
The workers, since Sunday, show up daily from 7am to 4pm, and stage a sit-in in front of their company’s HQ gate.
