The Army’s Central Zone Commander, General Hassan el-Ruweini, showed up yesterday in Tahrir trying to assert the military would meet the revolution’s demands. Protesters kept shouting calling for the continuation of protests till the regime falls, and called for shutting down the stock market.

A video purportedly of Egyptian army officers torturing a group of blindfolded detainees using tasers. The detainees are begging for mercy, only to be met with insults from the military police. You can hear also some detainees begging to be transferred to the hospital. The reason for those citizens’ detention is unknown, but under no circumstance can we allow the army to behave this way.
