The state-run Al-Ahram reported that “75% of the former State Security Police officers have been transferred to other departments in the interior ministry, including 23 Generals and more than 40 Colonels.”
In other words, former rapists, murderers, torturers and sadists will continue to be employed by the police. And the remaining 25% of SS will be part of the newly formed National Security Sector.
