It’s an amazing scene, thousands of Copts chanting against Field Marshal Tantawi and the army. Bravery, resilience. I know many Muslims who attended the funerals today. Despite the sectarian incitement, we must remain united as Muslims and Copts against Mubarak’s army generals, who are in effect the leadership of the Counterrevolution.

Hi Hossam, thanks for your wonderful coverage. My solidarity to all those brave revolutionaries fighting and dying for a better world in Egypt.
The massacre reminded me of something that I heard a while ago and was never sure about. Someone once told me that the communists (stalinists) in Egypt had supported the officers’ regime when they used to try and crack down on the Muslim Brothers based on a stupid orientation that secular regimes were more progressive than the MB. I’ve never been able to verify this… True/false?
