French Cultural Centers employees on strike in Egypt

In response to the racist treatment of the local employees and arbitrary sackings, more than 200 of the Egyptian employees who work for the French embassy and cultural centers are on strike.

    At last it came out in the french medias. Well, in one french media in fact (but a good one, so I guess it can count for several) :

    I can’t believe only the locals went on strike (for nothing unfortunately), the french workers didn’t bother joining the strike? How french of them…sadly enough the very thin remaining solidarity of my people is fading away.

    Thanks for your blog by the way, it is of great interest to me.

    Thanks for the link and for you postive feedback.. I honestly don’t have more details about the French employees involvement, but it’s true they didn’t join the strike. Shame.. May be that will be different in the future..
    “Your people” however have been doing a fantastic job back home. There were amazing strikes over the past months in France by both workers and university students.. I hope more of those will come..
