Riots broke out in Ramses Square and the neighboring streets, following the death of microbus driver in Azbakeya Police Station custody. A Central Security Forces truck (seen above in the video) was set on fire, before the arrival of the military police and more CSF troops that cracked down on rioters, arresting an unknown number. I saw several ambulances arriving at the scene, but did not manage to find out how many were injured.
Azbakeya Police Station has been one of the most notorious police stations in Egypt under Mubarak, where torture of endemic. No wonder it was stormed and set on fire during the uprising in January.
